Rashie Shirt and The New Vacation at Home

June 03, 2020

Who would have thought that our winter escape holidays to warmer parts of the world would be put on hold for a while? We may be talking months or years for it all to reopen to overseas travel, but what about vacationing here at home. Australia has so much to offer and there is so much to see and do. From beautiful beaches and rainforests to gorgeous islands and even camping. Lazing by your own pool or local beach can be just as good too. Who says we have to go overseas to get a good holiday, we have got it here and so much more! And when you do finally get the chance to go, don’t forget your rashie shirt.

Your rashie shirt is so much more than just sun protection. It can also be used as a beach cover-up – don t we all love something that can multitask! One minute it acts as sun protection and the next it is a coverup to get you to and from the pool or beach. Less to pack is always a good thing especially if you are wanting to travel light. Check out our convertible rashie shirt which does just the trick. It’s a top and with the sides let down, it’s also a coverup dress that can get you to cocktail hour and beyond.

It is also incredibly useful for wearing in the water. Not only are the UV rays more intensive in the water but it will also keep you warm if the water is slightly chilly. Water is a great source of reflection of UV rays so they can reflect them back at you. Not only are you getting them directly from the sky, but also from the water too. That’s why when you are frolicking around in water and waves, you can find that you can get quite a nasty sunburn without all the protection. In regard to water sports, it can give you an added layer of warmth which is useful if the water is a little colder than normal if you are planning to spend a bit of time in the water.

Activities such as snorkeling is great for spending hours entertaining yourself and the kids, but after a while you can find yourself getting a bit cold. If this is the case, then find a rashie shirt which is a bit more fitted as you will find it easier to move around in the water without the top ballooning around you. It doesn’t have to be super tight, just more fitted to your body so it moves with you.

So, for the new vacation of exploring our own backyard so to speak, a great way to decide where to go is to think about all the places that you always said you would go – one day. There is so much to see and do in this wonderful country, so take advantage of this time and do some things you never thought you would do. Oh, and don’t forget your sun protection if you are going somewhere warm!
